Best known for their 1970 top charting All right now, they have created more memorable work – one personal favourite of mine is Wishing well. Bad Company was very much a continuation under a different name. You’re probably going to disagree here, but listening to overviews of their music I just can’t help thinking of all those contemporary British rock bands – Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, you name them – and imagine what they could have been with Paul Rodgers singing.
Robert Plant is a flamboyant stage personality, Mick Jagger a competent composer, but as vocalists, really, there is no comparison.
